What is Mother Maple Worldroot?
Welcome to the Worldroot
Mother Maple: Worldroot is an original fantasy universe created by William "Bill" Blackburn. Inspired by the idea of a great World Root connecting countless realms, Worldroot is a living universe where hidden branches thrive beneath majestic domes. Each branch contains its own continents, kingdoms, races, history, heroes, and future.
One branch may take you 20,000 years into the past, while another carries you 20,000 years into the future. Some stories are epic fantasy filled with dragons, ancient magic, and legendary heroes. Others venture into science fiction, while a few unfold in worlds much like our own.
Although every branch tells its own story, they are all connected by the same ancient World Root—known throughout the universe as Mother Maple: Worldroot. Every journey reveals another piece of a much larger history, and every branch offers a new adventure waiting to be discovered.

The Great Forest
Imagine a fantasy universe so vast that entire civilizations live their lives without ever knowing another branch exists. Each dome houses its own continents, kingdoms, races, and rich histories. Some flourish in their unique world creation, while others fall into darkness. Yet, some are still waiting for their first fantasy storytelling to emerge.
Endless Possibilities
Every branch in this fantasy universe can hold:
Dragons
Giants
Hidden kingdoms
Lost civilizations
Magic systems
New races
Ancient mysteries
Heroes yet unborn
No two branches of the Worldroot are ever the same, and each adds something new to the larger universe.
The Worldroot Is Growing
The Worldroot is always growing.
Writers, artists, musicians, mapmakers, game developers, and other creators may have opportunities to add something of their own to this expanding universe.
A new story.
A new kingdom.
A new song.
A new piece of art.
A new branch waiting to take root.
Each contribution should bring something original while becoming part of the larger living mythology of Mother Maple: Worldroot.
Those who help the Worldroot grow become Gardeners of the Worldroot.
